In the Artist's Words...

Rare Earth Elements (REE's), for me, symbolize the power and beauty of nature as well as present and future dreams beyond anywhere we have ever been technologically before.

Rare Earth Elements, also known as Rare Earth Metals, are a unique group of 17 elements in huge demand as they are essential to many of the world's greenest technologies. Hybrid cars and wind turbines are perhaps the best-known applications containing rare earths. They are also ubiquitously found in everything in high-tech - from smart phones, flat screen TV's, computer chips, lasers, as well as secretly classified military and space applications. If it's high tech, chances are rare earths are integrated into it.

The metamorphosis from Rare Earth Element to advanced technology captures my imagination. As everything has its source, the REE Collection of photographs, for me, reflects that technological essence.
